Why sneakers come without insoles?Updated 2 months ago
Thin and flexible outsoles are characteristic for barefoot shoes, so your feet can receive the necessary sensory feedback from the ground. This sensory feedback plays an essential role in postural stability and dynamic gait patterns. Many of our customers appreciate these functional benefits and feeling akin to a foot massage. That is why we decided to let our customers choose whether they would like to add additional insoles to their Feelgrounds for a slightly more muted feel.
You can find the sole thickness and the info that our sneakers generally come without an extra insole in all product descriptions. Plus, we actively try to suggest the option for an extra insole through the pop-up displaying matching add-ons whenever you put an article into your cart. Especially for barefoot shoe beginners or people with a low foot volume, an extra insole can be very beneficial.
We understand that the barefoot sensation may take some time to get used to. If you find the ground feel bothersome or if you generally prefer more cushioning, you are more than welcome to order a pair of our insoles. You can find them in our Accessories section of the shop.
